I'd personally go top exit far too but in my situation it's so less difficult to employ a rear flue exit as there would be major work for me to change the existing fireplace to acommadate best flue exit.We now have experienced some cold evenings beneath freezing and even from the 20s and it done very perfectly. So far, no negatives in the slightest
